Introduction to Biblical Counselling

We are very excited to invite anyone who would like to attend to two weekends of training, called “Introduction to Biblical Counselling”. True Biblical Counselling is not just counselling done by someone who is a Christian, or even a Christian who may use the Bible in their counselling. 

We are recommitting ourselves, as a church ministry, to true Biblical Counselling, as defined by such organizations as the Association of Certified Biblical Counsellors (ACBC) or the Association of Biblical Counsellors (ABC). God has graciously enabled us to bring in a very experienced and seasoned Biblical Counsellor who is also a pastor and teacher, to teach our congregation about Biblical Counselling. This will be done over two weekends, Friday February 14 (7:00-9:00 p.m.) – Saturday February 15 (8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.), and Friday February 28 (7:00-9:00 p.m.) – Saturday February 29 (8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.). Our teacher will be Ken Gentzler, former Senior Pastor of Harvest West Olive in Michigan for 24 years, and a good friend of our church and ministry. 

The first weekend will be the basics and elementary principles of Biblical Counselling. The second weekend will build on the first, taking us all further into Biblical Counselling. You can come to just the second weekend, but may find yourself struggling, so we would recommend attending both weekends. If you can’t attend both, then we are accepting registrations for just one weekend, as it’s better to get one than nothing at all. 

A number of our staff and elders will also be taking this training. It is our hope and prayer that coming out of these two weekends, some in our congregation will step forward with a desire and sense of calling from God to get further training in Biblical Counselling, as some of our staff and elders will be doing.

Please register as we will be providing snacks and a lunch on Saturday, so we need numbers. Come prepared to take notes, learn, be challenged and encouraged, and grow your knowledge and skill regarding a vital ministry we are hoping to grow and develop within Redemption London.
